Good day!

So, I did well today.

I ate well. And i didn't have sweets. 

Now, first you must know that i don't consider coffee or smoothies sweets. When I say I'm not having sweets, I'm meaning candy, cake, cupcakes, cookies, soda, ice cream or other desserts. 

This isn't going to be a temptation everyday. We don't keep these things in our home. I will be tempted at times to get a soda at work or on my lunch break. But the other things won't be a temptation daily because they're not always offered to me.

Today? Well, i received an order from a company at work & they decided to stick a tootsie roll pop inside the box. Just a little treat. And I didn't eat it. In times past, i would have said, "it's just one tootsie roll pop" & ate the thing. Even during Insulin Resistance, because honestly, how much harm can one of those do? Just one? 

Well, it can make me crave more junk, that's for sure! So i made sure it got delivered to the right person along with their order! They can eat the thing! Ha! 

So that was really my only "sweets" temptation of the day.

But I did good the rest of the day, too. With everything.

For breakfast? Coffee & a smoothie made with strawberries, skim milk & vanilla whey protein. Yum!

I had a Special K bar for snack. Yes, I know these are made with fake things and I definitely try to limit my intake of processed foods, but I'm okay with these for snacks!

Lunch? I went to McAlister's Deli & got a grilled chicken caesar salad with tomatoes. LOVE! 

Afternoon snack was an apple. 

Dinner tonight was 2 stuffed bell peppers. SO GOOD!

So yes! I've done well today! And I'm ready for another good day tomorrow!
